After spending 35+ years in the Portland area teaching and creating art, I moved to Gig Harbor Washington, where I now have my new studio. I enjoy working in all mediums, but my main focus is ceramics.
My art is influenced by my love for the outdoors which informs my approach to creating functional, sculptural and photographic work. The transformative nature of clay has held my attention for over 40 years. I am drawn to the infinite possibilities of color, form and texture.
The challenge of combining ceramics with other mediums offers endless opportunities to explore the creative process. I am a maker, traveler and dog lover.
Oh... and birds.
